Matafame is Chicago-based Italian supper club that I run with my two dear friends and fellow cooks Brianna Bond and Sarah Angileri.

Matafame, an expression meaning "hunger killer" with origins in Italian and Spanish, historically described simple dishes that kept Mediterranean fishermen sated while at sea. Our food is an homage to the regionalized peasant cuisines that have supported localized food systems and nourished communities for centuries.

We've worked across the industry as caters and personal chefs, line cooks and bakers, food stylists, cookbook editors, & food writers. Matafame channels our collective creativity into shared experiences around la tavola.
